FREE CLIMATE RISK DIAGNOSTIC

Find out how many times extreme weather hit your asset in the last 10 years

You point us to 1 asset: a berth, a mountain road stretch, a transmission line, a wind farm, a yard. Our team runs more than 10 years of calibrated climate data at 1 to 3 km resolution and delivers, within 7 days, a report with every event that crossed the extreme threshold at your exact location. At no cost. Without sending any data from your operation.

The extreme that already happened is the risk you have not measured yet

The weather forecast shows the next few days. Climate risk demands a different question: how many times, over the last 10 years, did wind, waves, rain or visibility cross the limit that stops your operation?

Most companies do not have that answer, because publicly available data comes at roughly 25 km resolution. At that scale, the model sees the region, not your asset. The windstorm that brought down the structure, the swell that closed the berth and the rainfall that washed out the slope show up smoothed out, or not at all.

Without that measurement, the extreme becomes a surprise. And a surprise in a critical operation means unplanned downtime, safety incidents, contractual penalties and losses nobody had provisioned for.

The free diagnostic answers that question with calibrated data, at your exact location.

Three steps. The work is ours, not yours.

1

Point us to the asset location

Fill in the form in 2 minutes with the asset's name and location (terminal, stretch, plant, farm or coordinates). That is all we need.

2

We analyze 10+ years of climate at your location

Our team runs the analysis on i4sea's calibrated climate database, at 1 to 3 km resolution, and identifies every event that crossed the extreme percentile for the hazards relevant to your asset.

3

You receive the report in 7 days

We deliver the diagnostic by e-mail and schedule a reading session with a specialist to walk through the results with you. No strings attached: the material is yours.

A report about your asset, not an i4sea brochure

  • Frequency of extremes per hazard: how many times wind, gusts, waves, rain, visibility or other relevant hazards crossed the extreme threshold at your location, year by year.
  • The difference resolution makes: a comparison between public data (around 25 km) and i4sea's calibrated data (1 to 3 km) at your asset's location.
  • Executive read-out: what those numbers mean for safety, operational windows and planning.
  • Reading session with a specialist: 30 minutes to interpret the results and answer your questions.

Do you have a downtime or incident history? Attach it in the form and the diagnostic will include the capture rate: how many of the events that impacted your operation would have been anticipated.

Results from teams that saw the weather first

PORTS · BRAZIL

Santos Brasil

At Brazil's largest container terminal, anticipating berth windows helped cut vessel waiting time from 7 to 3 days. The result made national news. See it on G1.

OFFSHORE ENERGY · EUROPE

Vattenfall

Generic forecasts inflated offshore O&M costs. With i4sea's hyperlocal reading, Vattenfall cut O&M costs by 27x. [VALIDATE WORDING]

PORTS · CHILE

Puerto Mejillones

At the terminal supplying mining in northern Chile, anticipating port closures and openings became decision routine, with an annualized benefit of US$ 305,000, including US$ 54,000 a year in avoided demurrage alone.

“i4cast made port closure events more tangible for our decision-making. This brought safety, operational agility, performance in berth operations, and lineup customization.”

Evelyn Lima, Operations Planning Director, Santos Brasil

“Thanks to this climate intelligence tool, today we are able to anticipate port closure events with greater precision and also have a better view of openings, optimizing our planning and delivering reliable technical information to our clients.”

Dante Battaglia, Operations Manager, Puerto Mejillones

“i4sea is highly flexible, with a proactive approach to developing innovative products. By integrating hyperlocal forecast models with machine-learning techniques applied to local measurement data, they deliver offshore site forecasts of the highest accuracy that is currently achievable.”

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to send data from my operation?

No. The diagnostic uses only the asset's location and i4sea's proprietary climate database. If you want to go further and attach a downtime or incident history, the report will also include the capture rate of those events. It is optional.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. The diagnostic is free and the report is yours, whether you move forward with i4sea or not.

Who runs the analysis?

Meteorologists, oceanographers and data scientists at i4sea, the same team that operates climate intelligence for more than 100 critical assets across ports, energy, railways, highways, mining and agribusiness.

Which hazards are analyzed?

It depends on the asset: wind and gusts, waves and swell, heavy rain, visibility, extreme temperature, among others. We define the relevant hazards based on the type of operation you indicate.

What happens after the 7 days?

You receive the report by e-mail and schedule the reading session with a specialist. No commitment and no charge.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. The asset location and any attached file are used exclusively to produce your diagnostic.
